The Salt Lake City police on Tuesday named a suspect in a November fatal stabbing, and asked the public's help finding her.
Investigators suspect that Natalie Fern Bluehouse, 50, stabbed Willie D. Hollingsworth, 49, near the Road Home shelter, 210 S. Rio Grande St. (450 West) the evening of Nov. 20. Bluehouse had been named in December as a person of interest in the case.
Bluehouse frequents the shelter and is described as 5-foot-5, 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Investigators have been working the case for the past month, though Sgt. Robin Heiden declined to disclose what they found out that upgraded Bluehouse's status.
Hollingsworth was stabbed in his abdomen and was taken to the hospital about 6 p.m. on Nov. 20, but died later that night before detectives had a chance to talk to him.
As of December, the police did not know how Hollingsworth came by the stab wound, and on Tuesday, Heiden could not say whether that had changed. The same goes for whether Hollingsworth was stabbed where emergency responders found him, or if he arrived in the area already wounded.
The police are offering a reward for information leading to Bluehouse's successful apprehension and conviction in this case. Anyone with information to share can call 801-799-3000 or text TIPSLCPD plus the information to 274637. The case number, for reference, is 13-184754.
The police also want to warn people not to make contact with Bluehouse.
