The other riders in the group dug him out. He was initially unconscious but regained consciousness soon after, authorities said.
Two members of the Cache County Search and Rescue team, who happened to be nearby on their own recreational ride, started providing basic first aid and called for help.
Bad weather forced a medical helicopter to turn back, so members of the Cache County and Bear Lake Search and Rescue moved Morgan to Logan Canyon where an ambulance was waiting.
Authorities said Morgan suffered two broken femur bones, a broken arm and had a high risk of hypothermia.
