The University of Utah will offer an online Master's of Business Administration degree in the fall.

The curriculum is based on the school's professional MBA, a 2-year evening program aimed at early-career workers.

The program will have the same core classes and will also include multi-media enhanced lectures, team projects and video conferencing discussions between students and faculty. Tuition for the full program is $55,000.

Brad Vierig, associate dean of part-time MBA programs, said the U. created the program after hearing from students in the Salt Lake City area who didn't have time to attend a program at night, as well as other prospective pupils in southern Utah.

"It's going to be a great offering for those that are both in Salt Lake City [and] … Idaho, Wyoming, and other surrounding states," he said. For more information or to submit an application, visit utahmba.com.
