While much of the movie world is in Park City this weekend for the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, there are four studio movies hitting the multiplexes this weekend.

Trouble is, most critics haven't seen half of them.

Studios declined to show Utah critics the "found footage" horror movie "Devil's Due," or the Kevin Hart/Ice Cube comedy "Ride Along."

The Cricket didn't get to see "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit," the new spy thriller based on Tom Clancy's books, before heading to Park City. Tribune colleague Vince Horiuchi did see it, and says it's formulaic and not too bright. Chris Pine stars as Ryan; the cast includes Kevin Costner, Keira Knightley and Kenneth Branagh (who directed).

Lastly, there's the animated nonsense of "The Nut Job," a hackneyed tale of a squirrel (voiced by Will Arnett) who defies his park leaders in search of nuts.
