Let's not forget that Deer Valley is only for skiers, too. Having two resorts that are for skiers only makes Utah skiing unique! Let's keep it that way ("Lawsuit says Alta ban on snowboards violates rights," Tribune, Jan. 15).

Boarders have several other excellent resorts to choose from. Boarders can enjoy the same awesome snow that Alta has by visiting Snowbird, which is just a stone's throw away from Alta.

Many out-of-town skiers pick Alta or Deer Valley, rather than ski in other states, because they are skier-only resorts. This brings thousands of dollars to Utah.

Let's not ruin a good thing.
