Pray for Peace in South Sudan

The Sudanese Community in Utah will hold "Pray for Peace in South Sudan" service in the Utah State Capitol Rotunda. South Sudanese choirs will sing at the beginning of the service.

Ken Elliott Workshop

Talent Show Fundraiser

Christ United Methodist Church will have a showcase of talent. There will be acts of many types, as well as items for sale. All proceeds benefit the Medical Assistance Fund of Christ Church, which helps those in need with overwhelming medical expenses. Refreshments will be served after the show.

Aquinas Lecture with Sister Florence Deacon

Sister Florence Deacon will present the Aquinas Lecture, "Women of the Gospel, Women of the Church." She will address the roles of all women in the Catholic church.

Day of Remembrance for Downwinders

Christ United Methodist Church will hold its Third Annual Day of Remembrance for Downwinders," an interfaith service honoring Downwinders. Participants will have the opportunity to light candles and to share their stories of the sacrifices of Downwinders and their families. Liturgy will be offered by Rev. Steve Klemz, Priest Satish Kumar, and Rev. Jean Schwein. Fellowship and light refreshments will follow the program.
