Oh joy, the Legislature has convened once again, and right off the bat there is debate about funding preschool education ("In-class or at-home preschool? Utah legislators to debate funds," Tribune, Jan. 27).

Doesn't anyone find it interesting that there was $2 million available, no questions asked, to pay for outside counsel to defend a law that has been declared unconstitutional repeatedly, yet there never seems to be enough money for education?

I guess we know what's important in this state, and it isn't our children.
