You may want to leave a bit earlier if you plan to travel north on Interstate 15 in Weber County this weekend.

The Utah Department of Transportation says northbound lanes of I-15 will be closed near Exit 339 Saturday from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following morning, in order to allow erection of bridge girders on Riverdale Road.

During the closures, traffic will be rerouted to east along Riverdale Road to Interstate 84 and then back onto I-15.

The northbound ramp at 5600 South in Roy (Exit 338) also will be closed during the same period.

On Monday, beginning at 11 p.m., I-15 will be restricted to one southbound lane traffic to allow the girders on the western portion of the bridge to be erected. Full traffic flow will resume on Tuesday by 5:30 a.m., UDOT said.

The agency urged southbound truck drivers to use eastbound I-84 (Exit 340) to southbound US 89 (Exit 87), rejoining I-15 in Farmington.

Further information on the closures is available at http://www.udot.utah.gov/riverdale.
