I strongly encourage Gov. Gary Herbert to stick to his guns and veto Speaker Becky Lockhart's technology initiative HB131 ("Gov threatens to veto Lockhart's education technology initiative," Tribune, March 6).

As a parent, and former elementary school teacher, I find this bill irresponsible. The first and most important factors affecting educational success are quality teachers and class sizes, not technology.

I question Speaker Lockhart's priorities and motives in proposing this bill.
