Investigators found a 13-month-old Heber girl after her father reportedly left the state with her, violating a custodial arrangement with the girl's mother.

Investigators believe Coraline Aimar was in danger. Several hours after alerting the public to her alleged abduction, police reported that they had found her in good health in Durango, Colo., where her father was staying with friends.

When officers encountered the 31-year-old father, he was served with a protective order restricting him from being with Coraline, who was removed from the Colorado residence and put in state custody, according to a Heber police news release. Coraline's mother and her family are traveling to Colorado to be reunited.

The father took the girl on Saturday for his allowed weekend parenting time. But when he was supposed to return the girl on Monday, he allegedly texted the mother that he was not going to, according to a previous news release.

That was when communication between the father and mother cut off, the release adds.

The mother has a protective order against the father, which grants her custody of the girl and restricts him from taking their daughter out of Utah.

The father has a history with both law enforcement and The Division of Child and Family Services, and is diagnosed with schizophrenia, according to the police.
