Unless you're pounding back Guinness at the Irish bar of your choice — might we recommend Piper Down, The Republican or Murphy's — St. Patrick's Day is actually a slow night in Salt Lake City. There is this, though:

• Grit-pop band The Kin performs at Kilby Court, 741 S. Kilby Court (330 West), Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Finish Ticket, Oh Honey. Show starts at 7. The show is sold out.
