The Wasatch Fly Tying and Fly Fishing Expo comes to the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy Friday and Saturday as conservation groups such as Bonneville Fly Fishers, the Stonefly Society, Cache Anglers, Trout Unlimited and High Country Fly Fishers also prepare to raise funds at a Friday banquet and auction.

The event features demonstrations and workshops on fly casting and tying, a competition casting pond and a demo casting ponds. Raffles and prizes will be offered all weekend. Vendors will display the newest specialty products.

Entry is $5 for both days, with kids under 15 free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. The banquet and auction from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday will feature special guests Charlie Craven and Hank Patterson.
