Plans for tonight: Keillor in Park City, Cable Guy in Orem

• It's the season opener for the Salt Lake Bees baseball team, facing the Sacramento River Cats in Pacific Coast League action, at Smith's Ballpark (that's the new name, folks), 77 W. 1300 South, Salt Lake City. Game starts at 6:35. Tickets, from $9 to $26, available at Smith's Tix.

• Radio star and raconteur Garrison Keillor performs at the Eccles Theatre, 1776 Kearns Blvd., Park City. Show starts at 7:30. Tickets, from $20 to $69, at the Eccles Center website.

• Countryfied comedian Larry the Cable Guy performs at the UCCU Center, 800 W. University Parkway, Orem. Opening act: Reno Collier. Show starts at 8. Tickets, at $40 to $50, at Smith's Tix.

• Country-electro-indie band Blitzen Trapper will perform at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $27, at the venue's website.

• Stephen Malkmus, formerly the lead singer and guitarist for Pavement, and his own band, The Jicks, perform at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Speedy Ortiz. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $25, at Smith's Tix.

• Ska-punk band Mad Caddies performs at Bar Deluxe, 666 S. State, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Mrs. Skannotto, Bombshell Academy. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $15, at 24Tix.
