Orem • Utah Valley won two games against Cal State Bakersfield in Western Athletic Conference baseball, 4-1 and 4-2, on Saturday

In Game 1, Ryan Evans allowed just two hits in 7 2⁄3 innings for his first win of the season to help the Wolverines snap a three-game losing streak.

Mark Krueger had a triple and an RBI, and Seth Rhineer went 2-for-3 for Utah Valley (9-18, 3-3).

In Game 2, Danny Beddes allowed just three hits in 8 1⁄3 innings. Colby Croft was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

SLCC 12-8, USU-Eastern 2-0 • The Bruins swept a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader Saturday, winning both games by the run rule.

In Game 1, Zach Watts hit a triple and five RBIs.

In Game 2, Watts went 3-for-4 with two triples and four RBIs for the Bruins (25-9, 13-3).

Softball

UCLA 13, Utah 3 • In Los Angeles, the sixth-ranked Bruins won their second game in as many days against the Utes in Pac-12 action.

Freshman Hannah Flippen went 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Utes (12-14, 1-6). UCLA (32-2, 7-1) outhit Utah 16-6.

BYU 11-9, Idaho State 10-2 • In Provo, the Cougars rallied from an early 9-0 deficit to defeat the Bengals in Game 1, and McKenna Bull allowed just two hits while striking out nine in Game 2.

In Game 1, Katie Manuma and Sydney Broderick each hit a home run for the Cougars, who scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

In Game 2, McKenzie St. Clair and Ashlee Robinson each had two hits and two runs for BYU (13-19).

Fresno State 8, Utah State 0 • In Fresno, Calif., Hannah Harris throws a two-hitter against the Aggies (13-16, 3-2 Mountain West), who also had just two hits during a 6-0 loss Friday night.

Northern Colorado 10, Weber State 9 • In Ogden, the Wildcats led 6-1 after two innings but couldn't hold off the Bears' rally in Big Sky Conference play.

Krystin Kubo went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs for Weber State (18-15, 1-5), which has lost four straight games.

SLCC 1-2, North Idaho 3-1 • The Bruins split a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader Saturday.

In Game 1, North Idaho led 3-0 after five innings. Chelsa Baca hit a home run for SLCC's lone run.

In Game 2, KyRae Kogianes hit a two-RBI, walkoff double with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Bruins (23-13, 21-10).

Men's tennis

Pepperdine 4, BYU 3 • In Provo, the Waves won the match with a 6-4, 3-6, 8-7 (7-2) win at No. 6 singles against the Cougars (7-12, 1-3) in West Coast Conference play.
