Salt Lake Tribune Editor and Publisher Terry Orme will be a guest on KUER's "Radio West" at 11 a.m. Monday on a program about the U.S. Department of Justice investigation into changes to the joint operating agreement governing shared business operations between The Tribune and the Deseret News.

You can listen to the program at 90.1 FM or live streamed here.

Joan O'Brien, a former Tribune reporter and editor and founder of the Utah Newspaper Project, also will join host Doug Fabrizio on the hour-long news talk show, which will be rebroadcast at 7 p.m. Monday.

Here's KUER's description of the program:

"In October, the Salt Lake Tribune and the Deseret News renegotiated terms of the joint operating agreement that has helped both papers weather tough times, together, for more than 60 years. The U.S. Department of Justice recently confirmed it is investigating that deal and looking into claims that the agreement may weaken the Tribune and ultimately lead to its demise. Monday, we're examining what's at stake in this controversy, who's behind it, and how it could alter Utah's media landscape."

The program encourages listeners to call in or send emails with questions or comments during the 11 a.m. broadcast. The phone number is 801-585-WEST. The email address is
