• George Clooney is apparently ending his years of bachelorhood, with a report that the actor/director has become engaged to human-rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin. [People]
• The awful comedy "The Other Woman" won a tepid weekend at the box office, taking in $24.7 million to knock "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" off its three-week perch. [Box Office Mojo]
