Isotopes top Bees in 12 innings

Albuquerque scored an unearned run in the bottom of the 12th inning, as the Isotopes edged the Salt Lake Bees 4-3 in a Pacific Coast League game on Monday night.

Miguel Rojas led off the inning by reaching on an error by shortstop Jimmy Swift. Rojas advanced to third on a double to right center by former Stinger and Angel Chone Figgins. After Joc Pederson was intentionally walked by Brandon Lyon (0-3), Jamie Romak singled to center on a 3-2 pitch to bring home Rojas with the winning run.

Salt Lake trailed 2-0 in the eighth, when it took the lead on a three-run triple by Grant Green, but Albuquerque tied the game in the bottom of the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Clint Robinson. Taylor Lindsey, Luis Jimenez and John Hester each had two hits to lead the Bees. Relievers Rob Carson and Cory Rasmus each tossed two scoreless innings, while starter Jose Alvarez allowed just two runs on three hits in five innings of work .
