Salt Lake City police want your help finding a suspected rapist.

The man allegedly raped a girl in early April. The victim said she met the man near the Road Home homeless shelter, who brought her to the southeast corner of Pioneer Park and forced her to have sex with him, according to the police.

The victim described him as a black man with a light complexion who wore white pants, a dark jacket — with a red or maroon shirt underneath it — and a beanie.

Police found surveillance footage of the suspect at the Greyhound Bus Terminal at 600 W. 300 South, where the victim and the suspect were both at the day of the assault.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is asked to call 801-799-3000. People can also submit anonymous tips by texting TIPSLCPD and the information to 274637, with the case number 14-56813.
