A pickup truck crashed into a front-end loader Tuesday morning, sending two men to a Logan hospital.

The Utah Highway Patrol said the driver of the Ford Ranger sustained only minor injuries. However, a male passenger was in serious condition after the pickup clipped the piece of heavy equipment while passing the slow-moving front-end loader in the northbound lanes of Highway 91 near 9000 North in Richmond.

The 8 a.m. collision caused the pickup truck to spin and flip onto its side, UHP said.

The identities of the injured were not immediately released.

No citations were issued as the crash remained under investigation.
