Here's what's being talked about in pop culture:

• "Godzilla" stomped the competition at the weekend box office, earning $93.2 million. And, yes, there's going to be a sequel. [Box Office Mojo, Variety]

• Gordon Willis, the cinematographer whose deep shadows earned him the nickname "The Prince of Darkness," has died at the age of 82. His finest work can be seen in such movies as "The Godfather" and "The Godfather Part II," Woody Allen's "Annie Hall" and "Manhattan," "All the President's Men" and "The Parallax View." [Reuters]

• Justin Timberlake won seven trophies at the Billboard Music Awards last night, and Jennifer Lopez received the Icon Award. But a lot of the attention was on the cool/creepy Michael Jackson hologram. [Time]
