I was one of the lucky ones who marched with Mormons Building Bridges in the Salt Lake City Pride Parade in 2012 and 2013, and I look forward to marching for many years to come. In 2012, we had no idea what to expect — jeers, silence, hate, hurt — all of the above and worse?

Instead, from the minute we got in line to march until we walked to our cars later that day, we were met with cheers, hugs, smiles, thank yous and love. It was one of the most spiritual experiences of my life, and I will forever treasure it. Thank you to MBB, Pride, and all those in attendance for a great experience.
