A 17-year-old Farmington boy died Tuesday morning when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel while driving east on Interstate 84 in Morgan County.

Austin L. Larsen, the only occupant of the Ford Ranger pickup, was pronounced dead at the scene of the rollover accident, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

UHP Sgt. Todd Royce said the single-car accident occurred just before 7 a.m., about 2 miles west of the town of Morgan.

Fatigue was believed a factor in the crash.

The victim, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected.
