The Arches coin is part of a 12-year initiative to honor 56 national parks and other national sites.
Five new national site designs, depicted on the back of the coins, will be released each year in the order in which the honored sites were first established.
Arches is not the first National Park Service unit in Utah to be displayed on a quarter.
The Utah state quarter, released in 1997, had an image of the historic moment when the Golden Spike was driven linking a railroad from the East Coast to the West Coast. The location in northwestern Utah is now Golden Spike National Historic Site.
