Alyn Beck's body is heading to Wyoming on Sunday, and the Utah Highway Patrol will help make sure he gets there.

Beck, and his fellow police officer Igor Soldo, 31, were gunned down in a Las Vegas pizza restaurant ambush on June 8. The shooters fled to a nearby Wal-Mart, where they killed a third person and then themselves, authorities said.

Beck's body will be taken to Afton, Wyo., where the officer's in-laws live, according to the Star Valley Independent, a Wyoming newspaper. A squad of UHP troopers will follow Beck's body from its arrival at Salt Lake City International Airport to the Wyoming border, where the neighboring state's troopers will escort the body the rest of the way, UHP Sgt. Jacob Cox confirmed Saturday.

Beck had been with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department since 2001 and leaves behind a wife and three children.
