I want to be listed as one of those "in the middle" folks who Ms. Kelly "can count on one hand." I have been an "active" Mormon most of my life. I was not, however, raised by "active" Mormon parents. I consider myself relatively well educated, relatively liberal, and a feminist "of sorts."
I am not very good at keeping my opinions to myself, and my opinions are usually rather strong and loud. I cannot, however, seem to form an opinion on this issue.
I see Ms. Kelly as strident and angry on the one hand but then I applaud her when she tells young feminists not to follow her, to think for themselves and decide if they can be their authentic selves within the church and then decide whether to stay or "find a safer place."
