Ex-Utah St. star Jarred Shaw to play in NBA summer league

Logan • Former Utah State center Jarred Shaw will play for the Charlotte Hornets in the upcoming Las Vegas Summer League.

Shaw averaged 14.1 points and 8.3 rebounds last season while gaining honorable mention All-Mountain West Conference honors. He played in 27 games, all as a starter for coach Stew Morrill. The summer league will be held July 11-21 at UNLV. NBA-TV will air 67 games from the summer league, including 38 on a live basis.
