Rain did a number on the Utah American Legion Baseball State Tournament in Logan Tuesday.

With the exception of two innings of the Layton-Trappers Blue game, all the contests were rained out.

That means the tournament which is being played at Logan High will resume Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the third inning of the Layton-Trappers Blue contest. Weather permitting, St. George will meet Herriman at 1 p.m. The winners of those first two contests will then meet at 4 p.m. in the double elimination tournament.

The big game of the night will see the tournament's two unbeaten teams — Helper and Mountain Crest-based Trappers Orange, playing at 7 p.m.

The championship game is scheduled to be played Thursday at 8 p.m. if the weather holds. If another game is necessary, it will be played Friday.

The winner of the Utah tournament advances to the western regionals in Glendale, Ariz.
