Real Salt Lake's Olmes Garcia was shown a yellow card for wasting time late in Wednesday night's 1-1 draw against the New York Red Bulls.As it turns out, the striker's fall to the ground was entirely unprovoked.Major League Soccer's disciplinary committee on Friday handed down a two-game suspension to New York defender Jamison Olave for "violent conduct" against an opponent. During a brief confrontation in the 77th minute, Olave, the former RSL defender, hit Garcia below the belt.The Salt Lake forward pushed Olave immediately afterward and then quickly fell to the grass and rolled around on the ground.Real midfielder Javier Morales and New York midfielder Tim Cahill each received fines on Friday for grabbing each other around the head in the seconds after Garcia fell.Called upMidfielder Luis Gil will join the United States Under-23 team next week in the Bahamas for a five-day training camp.The squad is working toward qualifying for the 2016 Olympics. The camp will feature a match against the Bahamas national team.Gil is not expected to miss any games for RSL.Game onReal Salt Lake has added an exhibition match to its schedule.The team will host Sacramento Republic FC, of the United Soccer League's pro level, on Sept. 30 at Rio Tinto Stadium.— Aaron Falk
