South Salt Lake police are investigating a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital.

At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the man called 911 to report that he had been stabbed, said South Salt Lake police Sgt. Bill Hogan. Paramedics found the man at a bus stop near 500 E. 3300 South and confirmed that he had been stabbed in the chest, Hogan said.

The man, who was about 30 years old, was taken to the hospital. Hogan could not immediately confirm the man's condition.

Police are investigating where the stabbing occurred and are trying to identify a suspect.
