This is the part of the blog where I usually say, "Here's what's being talked about in pop culture". But there's only one thing being talked about in pop culture today: The death of Robin Williams.

Here are some of the interesting things being written and spoken about Williams:

• An appreciation by The New York Times' A.O. Scott.

• Hollywood celebrities took to Twitter to register their shock and sadness.

• President Barack Obama issued a moving statement that sums up what many of us feel. Such statements are pretty rare from President Obama.

• The Boston park bench where Williams and Matt Damon filmed a major scene in "Good Will Hunting" became a makeshift shrine.

• Conan O'Brien learned of Williams' death mid-show Monday night, and he, Andy Richter and guest Will Arnett paid tribute on the air.
