Plans for tonight: De La Soul in the park

• Heavy-metal band Corrosion of Conformity performs at In The Venue, 219 S. 600 West, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Bl'ast, Brant Bjork, Lord Dying. Show starts at 6. Tickets are $22, at Smith's Tix.

• British singer-songwriter David Gray performs at Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way, University of Utah campus, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7. The show starts at 7, and is sold out.

• Alternative hip-hop trio De La Soul headlines this week's 2014 Twilight Concert Series show at Pioneer Park, 350 S. 300 West, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Rapsody & 9th Wonder. Show starts at 7; ; gates for Twilight Market open at 5. Tickets are $5, at the gates.

• Country duo Thompson Square performs at Kenley Amphitheater, 403 N. Wasatch Drive, Layton. Show starts at 8. Tickets, from $34 to $69, at the Davis Arts Council website.
