Salt Lake City are seeking the public's help in locating a cookie-loving, dreadlocks wig-wearing armed robber who hit a sandwich shop over the weekend.

Police say the suspect — described as a 5-foot-10 black male, 17-20 years old, having donned the black, curly-haired wig — first asked for cookies from a clerk at the Subway, 974 E. 2100 South. He then pulled a handgun and demanded cash from the till about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The clerk complied and the suspect, who also wore a red hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white gloves, fled the restaurant.

He hopped into a white Chevrolet Suburban with a temporary license tag. The vehicle was driven by another black male, 17-20 years old, of thin build, short black hair and wearing a white T-shirt.

Police could not immediately say whether they believe the robbery was the latest in a string committed by the so-called "Dreadlocks Bandit," a suspect sought in a series of holdups throughout the Salt Lake Valley over the past few weeks.
