Sandy police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a girl at a Target store earlier this month.

Police said that on Aug. 7 around 4 p.m., a man approached a juvenile girl while she was shopping with a friend at Target, located at 10130 S. State St.

"The male spoke briefly to the female and then sexually assaulted her," Sandy police said in a news release.

Police say the man then left the store, and drove away in a white pickup truck, possibly a Dodge 1500 four-door pick-up.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sandy Police Department. They can call dispatch at 801-799-3000, the tip-line at 801-568-INFO or leave a tip online at sandy.utah.gov/police under the "Investigation Division tab."
