The Weber County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday identified a woman who died in a weekend motorcycle crash on Trappers Loop as 28-year-old Jennifer Anderson of Clearfield.
Sheriff's Sgt. Lane Findlay said the 12:13 p.m. Monday accident remained under investigation, but early indications were that excessive speed was the prime factor.
Anderson was northbound on the road, apparently trying to catch fellow motorcyclists, when she lost control of her Yamaha bullet bike on a corner and crashed. No other vehicles were involved.
Deputies said Anderson was wearing a helmet but still suffered massive trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
