HB126 » It's not just clubs and bars that will be asking for photo ID. A bill that would require voters to present identification to poll workers before casting a ballot passed the Senate on Monday.
HB126, sponsored by Rep. Brad Daw, R-Orem, would allow voters who forget their ID to cast a provisional ballot and then show the county clerk their license or other accepted proof within five days.
Senators passed an amendment on the new policy requiring signs be posted at polling places.
The bill moves back to the House for a final vote on the amendment.
