Orem » The Utah Flash selected Augusta State center Garret Siler with the fifth overall pick in Thursday's NBA Developmental League draft. Siler, a 7-foot center, spent the preseason with the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. As a senior at Augusta State, he averaged 16 points and eight rebounds.
"We are very excited to bring a big guy with his potential to the Utah Flash," said coach Brad Jones.
The Flash also drafted Louisiana-Lafayette guard Orien Green (second round), Tennessee-Chattanooga guard Kevin Goffney (third round), Davidson guard Jason Richards (fourth round), UNLV forward Joe Darger (fifth round), VMI guard Travis Holmes (sixth round), North Florida forward Alain Laroche (seventh round) and Utah Valley's Jordan Brody (eighth round).
