Every morning, seven days a week, Deb Lovci's alarm clock goes off.
There's lots to do. She runs her own bed and breakfast in Park City. She teaches mountain biking, does winter triathlons and is a distance runner.
She's also the only female guide for the Salt Lake Interconnect, which she has done for 20 seasons.
"It's a great lifestyle," Lovci said. "My alarm goes off and I can't wait to go to work today."
It would be easy to be a little daunted. She owns the four-bedroom Old Town Guest House in Park City and it is constantly busy. The Interconnect keeps her busy. The tour starts at Deer Valley and runs into Park City Mountain Resort and Brighton. There's lunch at Solitude, a run or two at Alta and the finale at Snowbird. The tour covers an average of 25 miles per trip.
Not bad for a 48-year-old business owner.
Lovci is the top Interconnect ski guide, which means in addition to leading three tours a week she's also in charge of scheduling, safety efforts and backcountry stashes of supplies for the tour.
And she's not just a Jack of all trades. She's a master.
"I would say she's more than 'kind of' on top of it,' " Luke Ratto, Interconnect tour manager said. "She's got everything nailed down."
To help manage guests, she has help at the bed and breakfast. It helps that many of the guests are skiers themselves and understand when Lovci isn't around for breakfast.
"I have a great assistant," Lovci said. "On days I guide, he helps at the house. My guests all get it. Most of them are repeat guests. They get that it's all about being outside."
That's something Lovci does plenty of.
