Johnniebeefs restaurant will celebrate its third anniversary today and Saturday with a 10 percent discount on all food items. The quick-casual restaurant, 7194 S. Union Park, Midvale, serves more than two dozen kinds of Chicago-style beef hot dogs. The menu also includes bratwurst, meatball sandwiches and hamburgers. Wine dinner at Fratelli's Ristorante
Kate Payne Brown, the assistant wine maker at Archery Summit Winery in Oregon, will host a six-course Pinot Noir wine dinner on Feb. 28 at Fratelli Ristorante, 9236 S. Village Shop Drive, Sandy. Tapas showdown benefits YWCA
A "Tapas Showdown" to benefit the YWCA of Salt Lake City will be March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Viking Cooking School, 2233 S. 300 East, South Salt Lake. Chefs Justin Shifflett of Metropolitan, Phelix Gardner of Wild Grape Bistro and Jen Gilroy of Meditrina will each create three tapas to be judged and sampled by guests.
