After the ski season ends April 11, the operation of Park City Mountain Central Reservations will be handled by Salt Lake City-based VacationRoost Inc.
Resort Vice President Jenni Smith said that outsourcing reservations will benefit guests because VacationRoost has the "real-time booking capabilities" that the resort's existing system did not.
"VacationRoost's core strengths are an excellent match for the world-class service we aim to provide,"she said, noting that the resort's new partner will manage lodging, air and ground transportation booking services.
"This strategic partnership is complementary to both companies," said VacationRoost CEO Julian Castelli. "We're excited about growing a long-term relationship with a resort that happens to be right here in our backyard."
Through its Web site, VacationRoost.com, and those of affiliated partners, VacationRoost has the capability to book reservations in more than 100,000 condos, hotel rooms and homes at 84 ski and beach destinations in North America and South America.
Park City Mountain Resort guests will continue to book ski and snowboard school and rental reservations through the resort's online reservation engine and call center, Smith said.
The transition to VacationRoost's platform is expected to be complete by May.
