Aggies' Travis Seefeldt named to all-Mountain West second team

Utah State defensive lineman Travis Seefeldt was named to the All-Mountain West Conference second team, it was announced Tuesday.

Seefeldt, a senior from Peoria, Ariz., finished the season with 41 tackles, including 1.5 quarterback sacks.

Five Aggies received honorable mention in the voting by the league's 12 head coaches and a panel of media members. The group includes senior offensive lineman Austin Albrecht, senior defensive lineman Ricky Ali'ifua, senior tight end Wyatt Houston, senior offensive lineman Jake Simonich and senior offensive lineman Austin Stephens.

Running back Donnel Pumphrey of San Diego State was named the Mountain West's Offensive Player of the Year. Aztec cornerback Damontae Kazee was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year. SDSU return specialist Rashaad Penny was picked as the Special Teams Player of the Year.

Wyoming's Craig Bohl, whose team won two games last season but will play in Saturday's conference championship game against San Diego State, was named Coach of the Year. Cowboy linebacker Logan Wilson was selected as the Freshman of the Year.

San Diego State had seven players selected to the all-Mountain West first team. Boise State had six, including sophomore quarterback Brett Rypien. Wyoming had four first-team selections, including running back Brian Hill.
