Tooele High football coach Kyle Brady resigned from his position Jan. 19, and the Tooele County School District confirmed the unexpected move was influenced by an ongoing investigation that Brady participated in "inappropriate communication with a student."

Marie Denson, the communications director at Tooele County School District, said Brady resigned for "personal reasons" and added: "I can tell you that [the Utah Professional Practices Advisory Commission] currently has an investigation ongoing because of boundary violations."

Denson said boundary violations can be defined by multiple things, but it was because of inappropriate communication in this case.

Brady is arguably the best football player in Tooele history, and he helped rebuild his alma mater into a legitimate contender in Class 3AA. In 2015, Brady led the Buffaloes to the 3AA semifinals, which required the first playoff win since 2003.

When he inherited the program in 2011, it was in rough shape. In his first season, the Buffaloes went 0-10, but he increased the win total every single year, finishing with an overall record of 28-36, including three consecutive winning seasons.
