The Utah Jazz viewed a workout Thursday by free-agent guard Earl Watson.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound former UCLA standout has played for five teams during his nine-year career, averaging 7.4 points and 4.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds. Watson, 31, spent 2009-10 with Indiana, averaging 7.8 points and 5.1 assists while playing in 78 games (52 starts).
The Jazz appear to be set at point guard, with All-Star starter Deron Williams and reserves Ronnie Price and Sundiata Gaines battling for back-up time.
Meanwhile, Watson has struggled with his shot in recent years, knocking down just 40.6 percent of his field-goal attempts during the last two seasons. But Watson's situation is described as being fluid, and several teams are gauging his stock as training camp approaches.
