Interstate 70 has reopened despite high winds that have fanned the Twitchell Canyon fire to 30,000 acres.
At least 485 firefighters are battling the central Utah fire. Sixteen fire engines were at the scene in Fishlake National Forest, and more have been ordered, responders wrote Monday in a news statement. Castle Rock Campground remains closed.
Lightning started the fire about two months ago. It was allowed to burn for resource management, and is consuming dry, mixed conifer forests and brush.
No structures were at risk as of Monday.
