Westminister Soccer: Bekken, Harris, named conference players of the week

Lindsay Bekken and Jessica Harris, both of Westminster College, were named Frontier Conference women's soccer players of the week. Bekken, a sophomore goalie from Spokane, Wash., was named defensive player of the week. Westminster went 2-0 for the week with wins over Eastern Oregon University 3-0 and the College of Idaho 1-0. Bekken recorded eight saves and her fifth shutout in a row and her seventh of the season. She has now gone 460 minutes without allowing a goal.Harris, a freshman forward from Kaysville, Utah, was named offensive player of the week. Westminster went 2-0 for the week with wins over Eastern Oregon University 3-0 and the College of Idaho 1-0. Harris scored two goals including the game winner against College of Idaho.
