The largest boys' basketball classes will crown their champions at the Huntsman Center next season.
The Utah High School Activities Association Executive Committee decided Wednesday that the Class 6A and 5A boys' tournaments quarterfinals, semifinals and title games will return to the University of Utah campus again next season.
The 6A and 5A girls' tournaments will remain at Salt Lake Community College.
The UHSAA already decided to added a sixth class next school year.
It also was decided that the 1A boys' and girls' tournaments will move to an eight-team format like the one currently used by the larger classes.
"That first week, which is the last week of February, we'll have 2A, 3A [for both genders] and 5A and 6A girls that week," UHSAA Executive Director Rob Cuff said. "Then the next week we'll have 1A, 4A [for both genders] and the 5A and 6A boys."
The boys' 5A and 6A Monday and Tuesday games will be split between two venues that aren't determined yet, before moving to the Huntsman Center.
The 4A tournament will be played at the UCCU Center at Utah Valley University, while 3A will be contested at Southern Utah's Centrum Arena. Richfield again will host the 2A and 1A tournaments at the Sevier Valley Center.
