State colleges: Washington baseball team completes sweep of Utah

The University of Washington baseball team defeated Utah 4-1 on Sunday in Seattle to complete a sweep of their three-game Pac-12 series.

Utah's lone run of the game came in the fourth inning on Dallas Carroll's home run. Carroll and DaShawn Keirsey Jr. were both 2 for 5 for the Utes (9-8, 0-3 Pac-12).

Creighton 19, Utah Valley 5 • In Omaha, Neb., the Bluejays had two grand slams in trouncing the Wolverines. Jackson Overlund went 3 for 4 with a double, home run and four RBIs for Utah Valley (4-15).

Softball

Utah 4, UCLA 0 • In Los Angeles, Utah's Delilah Pacheco led off the game with a triple and scored on an illegal pitch, and the No. 20 Utes completed a series sweep of the No. 10 Bruins.

• In Northridge, Calif., Weber State ran its winning streak to nine games by beating Murray State 7-0 and Bryant 15-7 at the Matador Classic.
