Payson's Feild wins again at National Finals Rodeo

Las Vegas • It was another lucrative night for Utah participants at the $5.9 million Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

Kaycee Feild, of Payson, posted a score of 87 and won the bareback during Sunday's fourth round.

He edged Steven Peebles, of Redmond, Ore., and Clint Cannon, of Waller, Texas, who finished with identical scores of 86.5.

For Feild, it was his second win in four nights. He also finished tied for third in the opening round.

Feild pocketed another $17,512 for his victory, bumping his NFR total to $43,921.

In saddle bronc, Milford brothers Cody and Jesse Wright also continued their red-hot riding.

Cody Wright tied for second in Round 4 with a score of 84.5.

Already the winner of the second and third rounds, he earned another $12,145 to push his National Finals total to $50,841.

Meanwhile, Jesse Wright posted a score of 81 to place fourth.

After finishing second behind his brother in Rounds 2 and 3, he earned $7,343 for a four-night total of $33,328.

In the barrel racing, Kelli Tolbert, of Hinckley, finished tied for second with a time of 13.69 seconds, just one-hundredth of a second behind winner Angie Meadors.

Tolbert earned $12,145 and has now pocketed exactly $37,000 at the NFR.

Finally, in bull riding, 2007 world champion Wesley Silcox finished the round tied for fourth after a score of 82.

It was Silcox's second top-four finish at the NFR. He has earned $13,274 after winning another $5,931 in Round 4.
