Real Salt Lake goal keeper Nick Rimando has been invited to the U.S. Men's National Team training camp. The 19-day camp opens Jan. 4 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
Camp will conclude with a friendly Jan. 22 against Chile, which reached the Round of 16 during the recent 2010 World Cup. The annual camp is aimed at primarily U.S.-based players.
At age 31, Rimando is the oldest player in camp. The 11-year Major League Soccer veteran made his first ever MLS All-Star Game appearance in 2010 and led the league with 14 shutouts.
