Provo • It didn't take long for former BYU offensive coordinator Robert Anae to find a new job. Nor did it take coach Bronco Mendenhall long to target Anae's replacement.

Anae, who was the Cougars' play-caller since 2005 before he resigned Thursday, has accepted a job at the University of Arizona.

Meanwhile, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned that Mendenhall has offered BYU quarterbacks coach Brandon Doman the offensive coordinator position. A source said Doman was mulling over the offer as of Monday afternoon.

Arizona co-offensive coordinator Bill Bedenbaugh stepped down over the weekend to take a similar position at West Virginia.

It is not clear if Anae will share the offensive coordinator duties with another coach, perhaps the other co-coordinator, Seth Littrell.

Anae had been in talks last week with former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach about joining Leach at Maryland if Leach got that job. However, Leach did not get that job.
