A Utah Highway Patrol trooper found about 3,000 Ecstasy pills during a traffic stop on Interstate 70 near Richfield.
The trooper stopped a 24-year-old man for speeding in the eastbound lanes in Sevier County shortly after 1 p.m. on Jan. 5.
The man told the trooper he was heading to Las Vegas, even though he was heading in the opposite direction. UHP said the man changed his story several times and admitted having drugs in his possession. The trooper seized about 3,000 Ecstasy pills with an estimated street value of $120,000.
The man was arrested on suspicion of one count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
